Photorealism isn’t always the goal with 3D animation. In fact, stylized looks are very popular- the sketchy look, cartoon renders, the list goes on and on. But occasionally we need something to look totally real. That’s really rather easy with most non-organic textures, although it can still be costly to create because of the render times and equipment required. But eyes, hair, skin… truly believable faces- now that’s a challenge. But we have just about locked these hurdles up. Check out this eye animation after the break. It’s crazy realistic.
